A real call, from no cold air to a documented work order

Resolving an After-Hours AC Call Without a Dispatch

A resident called the maintenance line in the evening with no cold air and a fan that would not run on auto. A Happy Force technician took the call, verified the address, name and phone number, then worked through a fixed set of checks: thermostat mode, setpoint, fan setting and whether air came from the vents.

The technician then asked the resident to check the breaker panel. A breaker in the middle position with a red light pointed to a trip on the condenser circuit. The technician talked the resident through switching it off and fully back on, so the fault could be tested without waiting on a visit.

Before the call ended, the technician put the resident on a brief hold to document each troubleshooting step in a work order, so onsite maintenance and office staff can see what was already tried. The resident was told to set the fan back to auto, wait 10 to 15 minutes, and call back if airflow had not returned or the breaker tripped again.
